How It Works

The 1212 Plus Series integrates premium PDLC (Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal) smart film into a heavy-duty laminated glass assembly. The layered construction, exterior to interior:

1. 12mm Super Clear Glass — primary structural skin

2. EVA interlayer film — bonding and lamination layer

3. PDLC smart film — switchable liquid crystal core layer

4. EVA interlayer film — bonding and lamination layer

5. 12mm Super Clear Glass — secondary structural skin

Power ON (60V low-voltage): An electric field aligns the liquid crystal molecules in a uniform orientation. Light passes through without scattering, and the glass becomes optically clear — with on-state haze as low as 3% in our premium 091 film grade.

Power OFF: The molecules return to a random, scattered arrangement. Light diffuses across the entire surface, and the glass instantly transforms into a frosted, opaque white state at 94% haze — delivering complete visual privacy in under 200 milliseconds.

Control options include remote control, wall switch, wired control, infrared motion sensor, voice control, and smartphone app — all integrable with building management systems for centralized, scheduled, or sensor-driven operation.
